Statewide Business Summit on Child Care & Idaho’s Economy
The Summit is a statewide gathering of business owners and executives, HR and workforce leaders, chambers, economic-development leaders, and partners interested in practical solutions to one of Idaho’s most significant workforce challenges.
Across Idaho, employers are increasingly experiencing the effects of childcare challenges through recruitment and retention difficulties, absenteeism, reduced workforce participation, and barriers to business growth. This summit will bring Idaho’s business and economic leadership community together to move the conversation from recognizing the challenge to identifying practical solutions.
The program will draw on findings from the 2026 Idaho Business & Child Care Survey and highlight Idaho-based solutions, employer strategies, emerging opportunities, and approaches that businesses and communities can adapt to their own workforce needs.
The summit will also introduce Idaho Families Work, a statewide initiative designed to connect employers with practical strategies, partnerships, and resources that strengthen workforce stability while supporting working families.
Participants can expect a highly business-focused conversation centered on what is working, what employers are telling us, and how Idaho’s business, workforce, and community leaders can work together to build solutions appropriate for Idaho.
